But we love this cheeky country classic, that will appeal to any couple who aren’t totally comfortable going for an overtly romantic tune. The lyrics are playful and super cute, and – best of all – you don’t need to be a dance-pro to feel comfortable on your feet with this one.

This gorgeous song by Bright Eyes is a great choice for any wild couple who want a song that reflects the simple beauty of love. Mix the incredible voices of Angus and Julia Stone with lyrics that conjure up images of love as a powerful, natural force and you have “Wedding Song”. Understated in tempo, it’s only when you tune into the words that you realise how beautiful it is, and how fitting it is for a first dance.

Lyric spotlight: “Do you know how lovely you are? / In the starlight, in the starlight of my heart / Do you know how lovely you are? / In the moonlight, in the moonlight of my heart”
